On Joseara, the token is the unit measuring your usage of the platform. It enables fair, pay-as-you-go pricing while keeping a renewable free tier to get started and work day to day.
1. What is a token?
A token measures the volume of data exchanged between your browser and our servers. Each operation "weighs" a number of tokens, deducted from your balance.
2. When are tokens consumed?
- Output (reading): every entity displayed/downloaded to your screen costs 2 tokens. Loading a list of 20 items therefore costs 20 × 2 = 40 tokens.
- Input (writing): every save (creation or update) costs a variable weight depending on the entity type.
- AI assistant (premium): every message sent to the assistant is metered as a write (see the "AI assistant message" weight below). The assistant is reserved for accounts with a paid token balance — the free allowance is not enough.
- Documents produced by the assistant (premium): when the assistant writes a downloadable document (Word, Excel, PDF…), its production is charged based on length and format — see §4. The exact cost is always shown before you approve the production.
3. Entity weights on write
| Entity | Weight (tokens) |
|---|---|
| Company | 200 |
| Endorsement | 100 |
| Quote | 50 |
| Lead | 20 |
| Task | 10 |
| Feedback | 8 |
| Portefeuille | 5 |
| ChargeCourtier | 5 |
| DepenseCourtier | 5 |
| Fournisseur | 5 |
| AI assistant message | 10 |
| Leave request | 50 |
| Any other entity | 5 |
| Read (per entity, output) | 2 |
4. Documents produced by the assistant
The assistant can build a downloadable document (Word, Excel, PDF, Markdown, plain text, web page) from an analysis: a structured report, meant to be used outside the platform. The cost follows this formula:
(60 + number of pages × 30) × format coefficient, where a page is 2,500 characters (rounded up, minimum one page).
| Format | Coefficient | Example: 3 pages |
|---|---|---|
| Plain text | ×1 | 150 tokens |
| Markdown | ×1 | 150 tokens |
| Web page (HTML) | ×1.20 | 180 tokens |
| Excel (.xlsx) | ×1.40 | 210 tokens |
| Word (.docx) | ×1.50 | 225 tokens |
| ×1.80 | 270 tokens |
The exact cost is always shown before you approve the production, and nothing is charged if you cancel.
5. The free tier (Basic)
Every account receives 1,000 free tokens, automatically renewed every 8 hours. The counter starts on your first activity after account creation. Free tokens do not accumulate: at each renewal, the free balance is reset to 1,000.
To get started friction-free, creating your very first company is free: no tokens are charged during the welcome assistant. Additional companies are then billed at the usual weight (see the table above).
6. Prepaid packs
Need more? You can buy stackable packs:
| Pack | Price |
|---|---|
| Intermédiaire — 10,000 tokens | $10 |
| Professionnel — 50,000 tokens | $40 |
Prepaid tokens are consumed first; once depleted, you automatically fall back to the free tier (1,000 tokens / 8 h).
7. What happens when tokens run out?
When your balance (free + prepaid) is no longer enough, reading and writing are temporarily blocked. You can then either top up a pack or wait for the next renewal of your free allowance (within 8 hours).
8. Importing and exporting your data
Exporting is free and unlimited. What you take out of Joseara costs you nothing, and never will: your data is yours, and being able to take it back at any time is part of what you are buying.
Migrating your history — uploading a filled-in template — is included up to 1,000 rows of the DONNEES sheet, for the lifetime of each firm. What counts is rows, not the records they produce: a single row that creates a client, a risk, an insurer, a policy and its instalment still uses one row.
Beyond that, migration carries no flat fee: each row simply pays the ordinary write metering of the records it creates — exactly what the same data entry would have cost on screen, no more. The total is shown to you before you confirm, converted into dollars, and the migration will not start if your balance does not cover it.
9. Who pays and who consumes?
The company owner pays. Any activity performed within a company — by its owner or by invited collaborators — is deducted from that company owner's balance.
